Getting access to Netflix is harder than ever. The service has even begun blacklisting common user IP addresses, which has caused numerous Netflix subscribers to be unable to access their accounts (even in cases where they did not use a VPN). The blockages are getting so frequent that many VPN services that claimed to offer access to Netflix are no longer able to keep their word.

Here are the top 5 VPNs for Netflix in 2022

ExpressVPN – The service’s huge server network effortlessly bypasses blocked access to Netflix directories for residents of the U.S., Britain, Canada, Australia, France and 20+ other countries. Dazzlingly fast connections enable you to enjoy streaming without any problems, and the service also offers a 30-day money-back guarantee to test it out.

CyberGhost – provides access to Netflix catalogs for the United States, Britain, Canada, Australia, France and another 10+ countries, it can be easily connected to on Smart TVs and game consoles, but short-term service tariffs are still expensive.

Private Internet Access – offers you a great server network capable of delivering Netflix catalogs for the U.S., Britain, Canada, Australia, France and another 10+ countries, but the quality of user support here still leaves much to be desired.

PrivateVPN – can open Netflix catalogs for the US, Britain, Canada, Australia, France and 10+ other countries, but the server network here is relatively small.

VyprVpn – enables Netflix directories (including directories for the US, Britain, Canada, Australia, Germany), Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, and more.

ExpressVPN is one of the safest and fastest VPN services, but the only drawback has always been the cost of services. The service often offers discounts that make the purchase more affordable, but there are other quality VPNs that offer similar features for a lower price. So is it worth spending your money on a service like ExpressVPN?

1. Service

ExpressVPN showed the fastest connection speeds of all the VPN services I tested. I was also impressed with how stable the connection speeds were to both local and remote servers. While I was watching the streams, there were no lags, no matter what location I connected to. Yes, videos loaded a little slower when connected to some servers, but I did not notice any buffering or drop in broadcast quality.

It’s only natural that a VPN slows down the underlying connection speed a bit, especially if it’s a remote server. So I was surprised when the connection speed to the two remote servers even exceeded my base speed. The connection to the East London server was 5% faster than my baseline download speed (461 Mbps).

Normally when connecting to remote servers, my speeds dropped slightly, but were still impressive. The Tokyo 2 server is 8494 away from me, but I only lost 11% of my base speed

ExpressVPN observes a strict tax-free policy and is registered in a non-intelligence country. The service is owned by Kape Technologies, which owns many other VPN services (such as CyberGhost, Private Internet Access and ZenMate).

Does ExpressVPN keep logs? No

ExpressVPN adheres to a strict no-logging policy and therefore does not store, transfer or sell personal data of its customers.

Simultaneous Connections

You can connect to ExpressVPN on up to 5 different devices at the same time without any problems. I myself have installed ExpressVPN on several of my devices, but I have not noticed any problems with connections. Five devices is quite enough for me, but some other VPNs offer even more. For example, Private Internet Access allows you to connect up to 5 devices simultaneously, and IPVanish does not limit users at all in this regard. However, the excellent ExpressVPN router app allows you to even the score: you can connect as many devices as you want to the router that has the VPN app installed.

Customer Support

Not only is ExpressVPN online chat available 24/7, but it has also proven to be the best. The support team of this service is one of the most competent among all the ones I have encountered. I would even say that the same level of competence can be found only in PrivateVPN and ProtonVPN, where the service developers will work on solving the problems themselves. Except that PrivateVPN’s online chat, which is available 24/7, works somewhat haphazardly. In turn, you can only contact ProtonVPN by email, and you have to wait hours or even days for a response. When I have contacted the ExpressVPN online chat with questions, I have never had to wait more than a minute for an answer.

Working on this review, I contacted the technical support service more than 20 times. I can’t help but notice that each time I was contacted within 10 seconds.

2. Platforms

ExpressVPN applications are compatible with all major operating systems and supported on many different devices. The service offers its own applications for Windows, Mac, Android, iOS and Linux devices, and applications for various router models are also available.

3. Server Locations

ExpressVPN offers access to many servers around the world to help you establish a stable and very fast connection. If the server is full, the speed can drop and the connection becomes less stable. The general rule is that the further away the server is from you, the harder the connection speed drops. That’s why it’s great that ExpressVPN offers as many as 3,000 servers in 90 countries, including Ukraine. It is very likely that you will find a non-crowded server nearby.

ExpressVPN servers are evenly distributed not only around the world, but also in different countries. For example, it’s very gratifying to see servers on both coasts of Australia. There are also servers in some countries that are usually ignored by VPN companies, including Hong Kong, Venezuela and Turkey. Just remember that these are virtual locations, which can affect connection speeds. Western Europe and North America are where the company has the most servers.

Being able to select servers at the city level allows you to get a faster connection. ExpressVPN can offer you the ability to choose servers in select cities in 16 countries, including the United States, Britain, Australia, and Brazil. If you choose a server in a city, you can be sure it’s there. Choosing a server in a country, you only know that it is located somewhere in that country. Let’s say you choose a server in Mexico. This means that your server could be located anywhere within 10,000 kilometers. As a consequence, the connection speed may be unstable – all because the distance to it is not known exactly.

Smart Location – This feature automatically selects the best server for you by analyzing the distance, response time, and connection speed.

4. Security and Safety

ExpressVPN’s data encryption technology will protect your sensitive information. You will be protected with 256-bit AES encryption, which combines 256-bit AES encryption and a 4096-bit RSA key, as well as SHA-512 HMAC authentication.

The SHA-512 HMAC authentication (or “handshake”) that ExpressVPN uses is a very secure technology for secure data transfers (including P2P transfers). Using a shared secret key, both the recipient and the sender of the download can verify the authenticity of the file. Any change in the key will be proof that someone has intercepted your file, so any data leakage will be quickly spotted and corrected.

ExpressVPN also uses perfect forward secrecy technology. This technology changes your key every time you log into your account.

ExpressVPN offers a choice of different security protocols that allow you to change your VPN connection settings for any situation.

Each protocol is slightly different from the others:

Lightway: this protocol was developed by ExpressVPN and no other VPN service offers it. It uses less battery power and transfers data between different networks without problems, so it’s a good choice for smartphones. TCP Works better for unstable networks, and also 10% faster than UDP (according to my tests).

OpenVPN: since it is an open-source protocol, it is the most secure of all. Enthusiasts from all over the world are constantly testing the code and improving it. There are also UDP and TCP variants. For me, the difference in speed was almost imperceptible.

IKEv2: This protocol is thought to be faster than OpenVPN. However, during my testing, this difference was only 1%. I only use this protocol when the others do not work because it is not very secure. There is no way to enable TCP here, so some firewalls block it.

L2TP/IPsec: since this is the oldest of all the protocols, it is the least secure option. However, in my tests it was the fastest. It’s good to use if speed is more important to you than security.

The choice of protocols depends on the device:

In general, I recommend Lightway TCP because this protocol is the best balance of speed and security

Private DNS for all servers

One of the reasons why ExpressVPN is great at protecting against data leaks are the private DNS servers. These servers are needed so that users can connect to different sites. Accordingly, the company’s private DNS-server allows you to get rid of unreliable intermediaries who can allow data leaks.

Is ExpressVPN  safe for torrenting?

ExpressVPN supports P2P file sharing on all of its servers and does not limit bandwidth, which makes it a great option for torrents.

Many VPN services limit the ability to use P2P to only certain servers, but ExpressVPN is not like that – you can connect to the nearest server and enjoy maximum speed. ExpressVPN supports qBitTorrent, Transmission, Vuze, Deluge and uTorrent, as well as all other major P2P applications. The service also works with Kodi, giving you access to streaming P2P sites.

To test how ExpressVPN performed in terms of torrents, I opened uTorrent and put the publicly available movie “The Guy and His Dog” on download. The server in New York gave me a download speed of 2.1 Mbps (0.44 sitters). Thus, I downloaded 700 megabytes of the movie in about 10 minutes, or even faster.

5. Streaming

I’ve watched shows from the Netflix catalogs for the US and several other countries, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, and BBC iPlayer without any problems. ExpressVPN also publishes on its website a list of streaming services that it can definitely access. I tested access to all of these platforms and more – and it turned out that I could go to literally every one of them. The only slight downside is that the service does not have access to a number of popular Netflix regional directories.

6. Prices and Plans

1 Month $ 12.95, 12 Months $ 8.32, 6 Months $ 9.99

You can choose any of 3 different plans, and the longest plan is also the best price. The monthly plan is good if you don’t know if you’ll be using a VPN in the long term, but keep in mind that you’ll have to pay $13 per month – which is markedly more than other VPN services charge for their services.

As for the six-month and one-year plans, you’ll have to pay for them upfront, but the savings are quite substantial.  But even the 12-month plan has a higher price than many other VPN services. However, there is no denying the fact that ExpressVPN is better than most of them (especially in terms of speed, reliability and security of connections, as well as customer support).

The service also offers a strong money-back guarantee. You will have a full 30 days to decide if ExpressVPN is right for you and get your money back if necessary.

7. Verdict

ExpressVPN is, frankly, the fastest and most reliable VPN service I have ever worked with. When I connected to some of its remote servers, my Internet connection speed increased, and I watched HD streams without a hint of buffering. This service is basically exceptionally good for accessing streaming platforms. All the services I tested were loaded almost immediately.

In terms of protection and security, few can even simply compare to ExpressVPN.

The only minor drawback is that there is no ad blocker, a feature that many other quality VPN services offer. However, I wouldn’t call it a problem, as there are quite a few quality ad blockers available for free.

1. Service

Our non-VPN speed was: 59 Mbps.

Connected to a selection of servers, we achieved the following speeds:

  • UK – 43 Mbps
  • Netherlands – 56 Mbps
  • Switzerland – 57 Mbps
  • Sweden – 55 Mbps
  • France – 21 Mbps
  • New York, US – 53 Mbps
  • Australia – 11.3 Mbps

Speed results are a simple snapshot of achieved speeds at a moment in time. Your results will differ depending on many factors.

Cyberghost adheres to a strict, tax-free privacy policy. The service does not store users’ IP addresses and related activities, DNS requests, or browsing histories. You can even subscribe anonymously and pay for it with Bitcoin, thus protecting your data additionally.

Simultaneous Connections

With a CyberGhost subscription, you can connect up to 7 devices to your account at once. That’s pretty generous – most other premium VPN services are limited to 5 and 6. I decided to test this feature with the HP Pavilion, Microsoft Surface Laptop, Samsung Galaxy and Amazon Fire Tablet.

Customer Support

CyberGhost support is available 24/7 via online chat and works quickly and competently. Help is available in 3 languages: English, French and German. After leaving a request for a refund, I have contacted the chat room several times for various questions, and every time I received an answer within minutes.

In online chat I did not have to wait more than 30 seconds for an answer.

But of course, if the support team takes time to look into your question, you will get an email with further instructions. Personally, I ran into this when I needed help connecting to Hulu. Sadly, of course, that the problem could not be solved via online chat, but I got an email with all the necessary instructions in 2 hours.

2. Platforms

CyberGhost works with all popular devices and operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Linux, Chrome, Firefox, Fire TV, Android TV and routers.

3. Server Locations

So, the fact that BlufVPN offers more than 500 VPN servers in over 60 countries is pretty impressive. The list of locations on their website actually only lists 56 countries, which is a slight inconsistency however, although some countries do have multiple locations.

This number of servers will work fine for most internet users but may impact on the unlimited speed across the rest of the service.

4. Security and Safety

Protocols & Encryption

CyberGhost is an incredibly secure service, it uses 256-bit encryption (the most advanced available today). That means it will have a 256-character key to protect your data. The bottom line is this: the longer the key, the more secure it is, and 256-bit keys are considered the most secure at the moment.

Look at it this way: 50 supercomputers capable of checking a billion billion AES keys per second will be decrypting your data for thousands of years. In other words, even if hackers intercept your traffic, they still won’t be able to read it.

CyberGhost uses 3 security protocols that will allow you to configure your Internet connection accordingly. You will have a choice of IKEv2, OpenVPN (TCP/UDP) and WireGuard. The service applications automatically select the most suitable protocol for you depending on your tasks – but you can also change the protocol manually if you need to.

IKEv2: In my tests, this protocol gave the best connection speed, and it is also good for mobile devices. Using this protocol allows you to connect automatically, which gives you protection, even when reconnecting from the mobile operator’s network to W-Fi. This protocol can only be selected in applications for Windows, macOS and iOS devices, so owners of Linux and Android devices will have to find something else.

OpenVPN: This is one of the most secure protocols because it was developed as an open source project. Computer security experts are constantly improving it… but, alas, in terms of speed, it is not the best option. My test connections using this protocol were 69% slower than connections with IKEv2. This protocol is a good option for those who care about protection and have nowhere to rush. Note: manual configuration is required for macOS, and it is not available in iOS apps at all.

WireGuard: If you are looking for a balance between high security and speed, this is the protocol for you. It is slower than IKEv2, but still much faster than OpenVPN. It’s a good option for watching streams, surfing the web, or, say, making video calls. It’s also available in applications for all major operating systems.

Is CyberGhost  safe for torrenting?

CyberGhost is a great option for those who are going to download torrents. The service has dedicated servers for torrent downloads located in 61 countries around the world. They allow you to quickly share files via the P2P protocol while maintaining your anonymity and security. You can find a list of these servers in the “For torrents” tab in the app.

I tested servers in the US, Australia, Germany and Mexico using qBitTorrent, uTorrent and Transmission. I was able to download files quickly and easily when connected to each of them, with download speeds of up to 11 MB/s. Thus, I was able to download a 1.43GB file (not copyrighted!) in just a few minutes.

5. Streaming

Streaming – access to 35+ platforms, including Netflix and Disney+

CyberGhost is one of the best VPN services for those looking for a reliable tool to bypass blocked access to streaming platforms. With it, you can watch Netflix, Disney+ and BBC iPlayer series without any problems or interference.

Amazon Prime Video is a service that is notorious for a particularly advanced blocking system, but CyberGhost’s optimized servers handled it without any difficulty.

I’ll be honest, there were a couple of services that I could only access after briefly reading the service’s help center. The only services that CyberGhost was never able to handle were SkyTV, ITV, TF1, Channel4 and DAZN. I tested 50+ server locations and was able to access the following platforms:

6. Prices and Plans

As is usually the case, there is only one subscription package listed. This package can provide up to 7 simultaneous connections. Thus, you can use the package on all your devices (computer, phone, tablet, etc.). The company offers three subscription plans: monthly, semi-annual or annual. There is no 2-year plan. However, the annual subscription plan is available on special terms for site readers! This plan includes 6 free months! We can say that this is a great offer, as the service offers one of the cheapest VPNs on the market as part of it.

The service does not have a free subscription or trial version. However, thanks to the “money back for the first 45 days” program, you can always try the service without the risk of losing money. Despite the multilingual site of the service, some of the users noted the difficulty of unsubscribing. That’s why I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the terms of service before subscribing.

7. Verdict

CyberGhost offers incredibly handy applications that allow you to easily connect to streaming platforms from anywhere. Just find the service you want, and CyberGhost will provide you with a server designed specifically to bypass the relevant blockers. In addition, if you have trouble accessing your favorite service, you can always contact the support team, available 24/7 via online chat.

As for protection, it stands out from other VPN services with its NoSpy servers. They’ll protect your data with military-grade encryption and features like emergency disconnection. Independent audits, transparency audits, and a detailed privacy policy also tell you that you can trust CyberGhost with your data.

Of course, this service has its drawbacks as well. So, and this applies to servers for online games, this VPN service can not be called an ideal option for competitive online games. In China, this service does not work at all.

I’m ready to recommend CyberGhost to those who are looking for a convenient VPN service especially for safe streaming viewing.

  • Intuitive and user-friendly user interface
  • Streaming-optimized servers giving you access to Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and more.
  • Outstanding customer support, available 24/7

Private Internet Access (PIA)

  • 💸 Price $2.03/month
  • 📆 30 Money Back Guarantee
  • 📝 Does the VPN keep logs? No
  • 🖥 Number of servers – 29650
  • 💻 Number of devices per license 10
  • 🛡 Kill Switch – Yes
  • 🗺 Registered in United States country
  • 📥 Supports torrents Yes
  • Countries – 70
  • Free Trial – The PIA mobile apps for iOS and Android also offer a 7-day free trial.

Private Internet Access (PIA) is one of the most popular VPNs on the market. True to its name, this service is known for its strict no-logging policy and strong protection of user privacy.

1. Service

In fact, that’s where I started: my speed was 70 Mbps.

We started by checking the PIA auto-connect feature, which established a connection for us to a nearby (U.S.) server. The average speed was 34 Mbps.

After a few minutes we tested the connection speed of that server again and were very surprised to see less than 15 Mbps.

All other connection speed tests also showed inconsistent results. The fastest speed we got (58 Mbps) was when connecting to one of the UK servers:

We were also happy to see 51 Mbps from one of the Canadian PIA servers:

However, most of the other servers we tested didn’t even get to 20 Mbps.

That’s what impressed us nicely: PIA really doesn’t keep logs.

PIA is registered in the U.S., and therefore must obey the laws of that country. This means that the government could demand user data from PIA, and PIA would be obliged to hand over all collected material to the authorities.

Because of its US residency, PIA falls under the jurisdiction of the 5/9/14 Eyes intelligence alliance, which will hardly please people who desire privacy.

Simultaneous Connections

One of the biggest advantages of PIA is the ability to connect up to 10 devices simultaneously under a single license. That’s more than many PIA competitors offer.

Customer Support

Where PIA lags behind its big-name competitors is in terms of technical support. PIA doesn’t have the 24/7 online chat service that many other top VPN services offer.

Instead, you’ll have to rely on the request system available on the site. The system works, of course, and users leave mostly positive comments about the quality of the tech support, but you can’t hope for a quick response here.

We ourselves have contacted the technical support with questions, but the answer we have received only 24 hours later. If you have encountered technical problems with the service, 24 hours is too much.

2. Platforms

PIA offers applications for all major platforms, including:

  • Windows
  • Mac
  • Android
  • iOS
  • Linux

All applications have the same functions. The exception, however, is the iOS app, which does not have MACE mode and uses IPsec along with the OpenVPN protocol.

PIA also has secure browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

If you prefer to install everything manually, the PIA website has the most detailed guides for that. PIA can also be installed on compatible routers (DD-WRT, Tomato, pfSense).

3. Server Locations

PIA has a large server network: 29,650+ servers in 70+ countries. As a rule of thumb, the more servers a VPN has, the better its connection speeds: the more servers, the lower their congestion.

4. Security and Safety

PIA allows you to change the encryption algorithm and security protocols. The default settings use 128-bit AES encryption.

This is an extremely strong algorithm, although not as strong as the more common AES 256.

Fortunately, you can easily change this setting if you wish. The settings menu allows you to manually choose both the encryption algorithm and the authentication protocol.

If you don’t know what that means, don’t worry. The PIA website provides detailed explanations and comments for each type of encryption, allowing you to choose the best option for you.

The PIA applications use the OpenVPN protocol, and you can also choose between UDP and TCP protocols. The exception is the iOS app, which uses IPsec.

You can manually configure OpenVPN, L2TP/IPsec, PPTP, and SOCKS5-proxy protocols.

Is PIA safe for torrenting?

Right on the PIA website it says that this service fully supports P2P traffic. All of the servers on this service allow torrent downloads.

The service’s strict no-log policy is great for this. This VPN also has an auto-emergency disconnect feature that will protect your P2P traffic even if the VPN connection drops unexpectedly, as well as keep your port forwarding settings intact.

5. Streaming

Popular streaming services (like Netflix) are constantly improving their VPN blocking systems, so there is no guarantee that most VPN services will be able to access blocked content.

And the PIA results have been… mixed. The good news: all three servers in the U.S. that we connected to during the tests allowed Netflix access in the U.S., meaning we were able to bypass the service’s blocking system.

We were also able to access the UK Netflix directory through both of the servers we tested and access Netflix content in Canada and Australia.

The bad news is that we could not access the Netflix directories of the other countries tested (Germany, Mexico, Japan).

PIA was also unable to access Hulu, Amazon Video and BBC iPlayer during our tests.

6. Prices and Plans

.3 years + 2 month $2.03

1 year plan $3.33

1 Month Plan $11.95 / month

PIA offers three tariffs with the same functionality. The only difference between them, besides the price, is the duration of the subscription. The longer the plan, the better the discount.

PIA doesn’t offer a free trial, but it does offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you want to try it out, we suggest that you sign up for a month and try to stay within a week to get your money back if you don’t like what you get.

Payment is accepted in a variety of ways, including by bank card and through popular online payment services. PIA also accepts anonymous payment methods, including gift cards, bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies.

7. Verdict

A convenient, affordable and privacy-protecting service that is not without its drawbacks. PIA is a convenient VPN with powerful security features that are easily customizable to the user’s needs.

This VPN is quite decent in terms of security and anonymity, but the instability of connections and questionable possibilities in circumventing blocked access to content make PIA not the best option for torrents.

The quality of PIA’s performance did not impress us either. However, even with all its shortcomings, PIA has a lot to offer to its clients, and for quite reasonable prices.

  • Tax-free policy
  • Unlimited bandwidth, unlimited traffic
  • Up to 10 simultaneous connections
  • Multiple features including emergency shutdown, Ipv6 leak protection, ad blocker, P2P support

  • quality of PIA’s performance did not impress
  • instability of connections

1. Service

I did a speed test in all 60+ countries that PrivateVPN has servers in, and set an average speed of internet connection via VPN. The average download speed drop from the baseline was 40%, which is a pretty good result: I had high enough speed for streaming, torrents and online games on almost all servers.

The highest speed of PrivateVPN was when connecting to a local server (in Romania), while the speed on remote servers (in the USA) was also quite high. I noticed a significant drop in speed only when connecting to the most distant servers (in Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Africa and other countries).

To start with, I tested the normal connection speed (without connecting to PrivateVPN servers). This allowed me to set a basic speed:

I then tested the server in the US. The download speed dropped by 56%, but it had almost no effect on the Internet – most sites loaded 1-2 seconds, and I was still able to watch online content in HD quality and play online games without freezing.

At the end, I tested the server in Japan. The speed reduction was more severe, with sites taking 5-6 seconds longer to load, and videos occasionally stopping to load when watching HD content.

PrivateVPN has a transparent non-saving logs policy. PrivateVPN’s non-saving logs policy states that the service only saves email address (for communication with clients) and billing data (for refunds and billing). That said, if you want even more protection for your personal data, you can buy a subscription for cryptocurrency.

PrivateVPN is headquartered in Sweden, which is a member of the 5/9/14 Eyes alliances (an agreement to share intelligence between several countries). Sweden also has laws about mandatory data retention, but these laws apply only to Internet service providers – PrivateVPN is not legally required to store or share user data with government agencies.

The only drawback of PrivateVPN’s non-storage policy is that it has not been independently audited.

Simultaneous Connections

PrivateVPN allows you to connect up to 10 devices simultaneously

Customer Support

PrivateVPN has a good user support system. The support system includes step-by-step installation instructions (including several video tutorials), a frequently asked questions (FAQ) section, 24-hour online chat and email support.

I liked the instructions for setting up PrivateVPN as they are very detailed and show some of the steps in the video, but the FAQ doesn’t answer many questions – I had to contact online chat or email support to resolve problems.

That said, I really liked PrivateVPN’s remote support feature! With it, you can give a support specialist remote access to your device to install PrivateVPN or solve problems. This is a unique and convenient feature that no other VPN has.

2. Platforms

PrivateVPN works on iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux, Kodi, and routers.

Installing PrivateVPN applications is easy. It took me 1-2 minutes to install the app on Android and iOS, and 2-3 minutes on my Windows 10 and MacBook computer.

3. Server Locations

PrivateVPN has more than 200 servers in more than 60 countries. PrivateVPN has fewer servers than most top VPN services like ExpressVPN (over 3000+ servers) CyberGhost VPN (over 7000 servers). However, I liked that PrivateVPN provides servers in more countries than Mullvad VPN (35+ countries) and TunnelBear (45+), which makes it easy to find a nearby server with high speed.

Almost all PrivateVPN servers are physical (they are physically located in the country of connection), but 10% of PrivateVPN server locations are virtual (the servers are not physically located in the country of connection). I like that PrivateVPN provides a list of countries with virtual servers (Argentina, Chile, Colombia, India, Mexico, Panama and Peru), but I would also like to see the actual virtual server locations.

4. Security and Safety

256-bit AES encryption. This encryption has never been cracked – banks and militaries around the world use this type of encryption to protect their important data.

PrivateVPN provides 4 Internet protocols – OpenVPN, (UDP and TCP), IKEv2/IPSec, L2TP/IPSec and PPTP. These protocols will be enough for most ordinary users, but I would like to see in PrivateVPN the WireGuard protocol, which is available, for example, in CyberGhost VPN and Private Internet Access (PIA). During tests, WireGuard is slightly faster than the other protocols, so I really hope to see it in PrivateVPN in the near future.

I really liked that the PrivateVPN apps have built-in protection against DNS leaks and IPv6 traffic blocking. PrivateVPN protects against DNS leaks by routing traffic through an encrypted DNS server. I ran 10 DNS leak tests connecting to 10 different servers, and my IP address and DNS address were never compromised.

Is PrivateVPN  safe for torrenting?

PrivateVPN provides excellent P2P support – you can download torrents on all servers, but PrivateVPN’s help section says that it’s best to use servers in Sweden (I don’t know why). But the PrivateVPN support specialist assured me that all servers are suitable for torrents.

I downloaded some files via PrivateVPN and I was surprised by the very fast download speed. For example, I downloaded an 18 GB movie via BitTorrent in just 9 minutes. With Private Internet Access (PIA), CyberGhost VPN and other VPNs, it takes about 30-35 minutes to download the same file.

5. Streaming

PrivateVPN works with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Hulu and BBC iPlayer as well as less popular streaming sites such as DAZN, Sling TV and ABC. In my tests, the streaming speeds were good and TV shows and movies played in HD. During the tests the streaming speed was good, and movies and TV shows were played in HD quality, but sometimes it took 5-10 seconds to load Netflix on far away servers (which is quite expected).

6. Prices and Plans

36-m. $2/month, 3-m. $6/month,1 month $11.99/month. PrivateVPN has three tariffs, which differ from each other only in the length of the subscription. And the longer the period for which you subscribe, the cheaper it is for you. In addition, you can work with the service for free for 24 hours, and there is a 30-day money-back guarantee (in case, if you do not like the service, and you want your money back). PrivateVPN often conducts sales and offers discounts on a variety of rates. All service offers are definitely worth your money because they are reliable, safe, and fast.

7. Verdict

The reasonable connection speed and high reliability of PrivateVPN allows us to call it a quality service with an excellent set of services.

PrivateVPN can be deservedly recommended to everyone who is looking for a simple, functional, reliable, confidential and inexpensive service. Even beginners (like me) can easily install and configure the PrivateVPN client to their liking. A definite bonus is the ability to get remote (remote) advice on technical issues, as well as on all issues related to client installation. To sum it up: if you are looking for a clear and reliable service that protects your data, which would work both on mobile devices and on desktop computers, then PrivateVPN is an option for you.

1. Service

The average connection speed to the server in Germany was 25.4 MB/s, which is enough to watch TV series in HD without buffering. When connected to servers in Australia, on the other hand, the average speed dropped to 3.5 Mbps. Luckily, when I tested accessing the Netflix catalogs for the US and Canada, it was fine. The app also allows you to sort servers by their connection speed – so you can ensure you get the most comfortable viewing experience.

You will be able to connect up to 5 devices at the same time.

Customer Support

The service offers excellent live chat support, so you’re guaranteed to talk to a live person who will try to solve your problem. The staff is very friendly, working diligently and quickly to resolve any issues you have, while keeping in touch with you and keeping you informed the entire time your issue is being resolved.

2. Platforms

PC: Windows, macOS,

Smart devices: Android, iOS, iPad; Android TV; Blackphone

Browsers: No extensions

Other: routers, QNAP, Anonabox, Boxee

VyprVPN offers many apps to install automatically. However, as far as routers, QNAP and Boxee are concerned, you have to manually install the applications.

3. Server Locations

VyprVPN offers many servers to choose from, over 700 in total in 62 countries. And all of these servers have more than 200,000 IP addresses at their disposal, which affects the quality of connections in the most positive way.

4. Security and Safety

VyprVPN has one notable advantage over the competition. It’s Chameleon technology designed to make data less recognizable to those who would want to intercept it and find out what you are doing, which is why the program is ideal for users who live in countries where authoritarian governments monitor the online activity of their citizens. The way Chameleon works is that OpenVPN metadata is encrypted so that it cannot be detected by Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), the most common way to intercept data. In this way, VyprVPN users can avoid increasing government interference by keeping the OpenVPN protocol secure (without making any changes to the 256-bit OpenVPN protocol), and being able to bypass conventional VPN blocking and bandwidth regulation.

The creators of VyprVPN use 256-bit AES encryption to protect their users. It uses zero-knowledge DNS, which means the system basically doesn’t log your online activity. The company uses various security protocols, including OpenVPN, L2TP/IPsec, PPTP, and Chameleon. In addition, all VyprVPN users have access to a NAT firewall, which acts as an additional layer of protection.

Is VPN Proxy Master  safe for torrenting?

Yes, VyprVPN is a great choice for torrenting. The VPN is equipped with all the features essential for a smooth and secure p2p filesharing experience.

5. Streaming

This service opens up access to Netflix, BBC iPlayer and Hulu, but in terms of connection speeds, things are much less happy here (more on that later). Faster VPN services (such as ExpressVPN) may be more suitable for watching streams and working with torrents.

6. Prices and Plans

12-.m -$8.33,1 month – $15.

All three VyprVPN plans allow you to take advantage of Chameleon technology, one of the best features of VyprVPN. You’ll also be able to connect up to 5 devices at once.

The premium plan offers unlimited bandwidth and access to any VPN server locations.

All VyprVPN plans are protected by a 30-day money-back guarantee. You can pay for the services with credit cards, Alipay and PayPal. It is not possible to use Bitcoin to pay, so for those looking for the most confidential service, this may be a disadvantage.
